Hi prune juice is good and I was told to get Lactulose solution by my clinc if there were any problems going to the loo. It comes in a 500ml bottle and you only need a little bit so you might want to try the prune juice first xxx
Bought prune juice last night and drank half the carton - woke up this morning so disappointed that it hasn't seemed to have done anything but......... At work just now and it seems to be starting to work!!! x
Constipation is my specialist subject lol my whole life infact! Prune juice as recommended above is great! It’s natural and won’t give you painful cramps like the medicated solutions. Try a quarter glass and see how you get on and make sure your drink tonnes of water...v important. Up your veg - cauliflower, get some baked beans in the mix and you should see a big difference within 24 hrs. Warm liquids help to soften things up too but you need the extra fibre there to begin with! Xxx
I laughed when you said it’s your speciality subject because I’m the same! Lol... It’s a small victory for me every time I go. Great advice given. My savior has been Greek yogurt and granola and 1/2 a banana followed by drinking a cup of hot water in the morning usually helps me. Sadly I’m currently constipated and nauseous atm so any tips for would be welcomed.
Oh bless you! It’s hellish and we don’t want to be straining but if I don’t strain i’m not going (sorry TMI) the only thing that helps is fear...surprisingly before my scan I managed to go 😂 pure fear!!! Bananas don’t help me at all. I take probiotics which do the same as Greek yogurt. When you’re having lunch or dinner pour on some lubricating extra virgin olive oil, always have a massive portion of veg and PRUNE JUICE and when I say drink tonnes of water, I mean tonnes!!! My mum said I was born constipated and if the average person ate the amount of fibre I put away they’d be in trouble...big time but if I don’t follow my ritual I won’t go for days and find myself compacted 😫xxx
I'm like that as well - anytime I'm nervous - I go to the toilet!!! Maybe I should just wait till Sunday and get the plunger out - should work quite successfully!!!😂😂😂
I was exactly the same, active yogurts, chocolate helps!!!! Dried fruit such as apricots and dates!. I had everything to get mine moving. If you can manage it and light waist twists whilst sat down in the sitting position it helps constrict the bowl helping things to move. I hope this helps x
