Period or not?

I suffer from very irregular periods (between 5-8 weeks between them) and also bleeding between periods (usually a brownish colour - not fresh blood).

I took Provera to induce a period and then clomid for the first time last month. It has now been four weeks since my last period and I have had bleeding of some kind most days.

On Monday I had heavier fresh blood like the start of a period, followed by three days of light bleeding (brown colour). I had a bit heavier bleeding (fresh again) today and have no idea if this is my period or not as it seems to be coming and going.

Can anyone help?

I have irregular periods too and would often get irregular spotting or bleeding. The fact u have a heavier flow this week and due to timing suggests it may be a period. Have u had ur day 21 progesterone test to see if clomid worked and u ovulated? If negative u should retest day 28.

Brown blood can be suggestive of older lining- the provera should have sorted it out but there can be multiple reasons.

You may even need progesterone support to support a pregnancy if you are shedding lining rapidly.

I wouldn’t worry too much as it can be quite normal and is certainly normal for u- but do get onto ur doctor/consultant either way in the long run
