So I am 11dp5dt and I have had very strong positive lines since 6dp5dt.
I know I'm supposed to phone two weeks after transfer, that would be Fri/Sat. However, my pessaries run out on Saturday morning and if I leave it too late I won't be able to get any! And I will be really anxious if I don't have them....
Has anyone phoned their clinic earlier than they were supposed to? Will the clinic just get annoyed and tell me to phone back!!

Hi lovely, congratulations!! Give them a buzz now, they’ll probably take it from 11 days, but even if they want you to call back on Saturday at least they can get you some more pessaries. Don’t worry they’re not in the business of being mean!!! Xx
Thanks for replying. I'm just worried I get a nurse that might be a bit pedantic lol. But I don't want to run out of pessaries. Also from what I read on forums, some people have their otd's quite early on!
I will phone them today, just scared incase they make me feel bad for testing early! 💙 Xx
Oh sod them please don’t worry!! My last round I was told to test day 11 so it seems it just varies, and you feeling reassured with the pessaries is the most important thing xx
Seriously? That's awful. I wouldn't think your trigger shot would still be in your system but you would think that they would at least understand about telephone manner, wracked nerves of patients and be nice!
I should have thought that they would at least cautiously congratulate you, ask you to test again on Friday anyway and just send you more pessaries?

I've been really grumpy all day and my husband is really getting on my nerves. I'm not usually grumpy or argumentative, but I am today. Plus keep getting a pain on my left side and after this mornings stressful phone call, I feel like my AF is coming or.... I have wind haha xx

I get that. It is awful being on constant knicker watch. However all the symptoms are the same either way. Although take comfort that the pessaries should stop any cervical bleeding xx
Hopefully by Fri I can actually be allowed to believe my positive test result. I've waited over six years for a positive result, my life has literally been on hold. And I am going to enjoy that positive test result for as long as I can!! Lol. Xx
I totally understand what you are saying and how you feel. Look at it this way, currently you are PUPO. Everyone going through ivf is during the two week wait. PUPO is Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise. Xx

Hi Michelle, congratulations! I would give them a ring. At the most they will say is to retest on your otd but they will have a prescription ready for you xx
Thanks Smang. After transfer they gave me a letter to give to the gp so that if I was pregnant then they need to give me a repeat prescription. So hopefully there's one already there for me and I can pick it up hassle free xxx
Oh perfect then you are all set. Try to enjoy your bfp it gets stressful after awaiting scans etc. so enjoy this moment and celebrate. I’m so happy for you xx
Aww bless you that's really sweet. I'm naturally quite an anxious person, but the anxiety is off the scale atm!! Lol. I think I'll feel better once I speak to the clinic and hopefully get some reassurance 🤞xx
My tests are so positive and I needed more pessaries before they ran out. But instead of feeling reassured or getting some positive feedback, all I got was negatively! Too early apparently, could be the hcg trigger shot (which I had on the 7th April) I need to phone when the doctor said. Which is a Saturday, so need to phone on my Monday, 16dp5dt!!!!!!!!!!! Really???? I'm so upset and angry right now. All emotions that I don't need when I feel so anxious! And it was the way she was talking too, really blunt and uncaring! Sorry to rant xx
Not at all. Rant away! Of course you don’t want to run out; you want to do all you can to give the pregnancy the best chance. I’m sorry you got that reaction. Why can’t you phone Friday instead what difference does a day make?🤦🏽♀️ p.s I highly doubt it’s the trigger shot I really don’t think it would be in your system now. Do you have enough till Monday?

Yeh trigger shot was 18/19 days ago, so it's definitely not that. You'd think they'd know all this by now, I'm not the first person they've ever spoken to. I might phone Fri lol but now I'm too scared to even bother. I can get the pessaries from my doctors, and I might beg them for blood tests. I just need some reassurance xx
Oh no, did they tell you to still wait until Friday? I was the same, a bit nervous like you about not getting the pessaries on time. My clinic told me NOT to call before my OTD. They can be awkward about it, you'd think they'd give you a few more pessaries to tide you over. It's not like they do any further testing after you get your bfp on the test! Hope it all works out for you xx
Awww don't let it get to you. Do you have to go to clinic to collect the pessaries or can u get from gp? Might be worth sorting something with your work to make sure you can get them. My OTD was on a Sunday and I had pessaries to last until the Sunday only. Clinic is 2 hrs round due trip for me. I thought it was a bit daft!
Luckily they gave me a letter to give to the GP after transfer, so they have it on the system that I would need a prescription if I was pregnant. Now I'm even doubting that I am!! So I'll just pop down and hopefully get some before the weekend xx
I would call them on Friday morning after testing again. Hopefully you will speak to another nurse and explain to her that you will run out the next day. I am sure they won’t turn you away- after all, they should have supplied your with enough pessaries to last until your test day bearing in mind it’s supposed to be a Saturday and they would realise that you would not be able to get supplies until Monday. If all fails, ask to speak to the head nurse/clinic co-ordinator. Try not to let it upset you (easier said than done) - focus on the happiness of your result xx
Thanks Zoe, I'm going to go doctor's in a bit and get some, they have it on their system, so should be fine to get. It just would have been nice to have some reassurance, rather than a Negative Nancy making me feel like rubbish!

I was in a similar boat - didn’t have enough pessaries to get to OTD, luckily my clinic just ordered me another couple of weeks’ worth because if this round doesn’t work I will have FET.
PS - my OTD for my first round was 11dp5dt and for this round 13dp3dt so both 16 days from EC x
I'm 17 days past egg collection lol!! It's mad how every clinic is different. It was her tone of voice that was winding me up! I had a five day blastocyst, so why can't they take my word for it now, instead of making it out like it might not actually be positive!! Grrrrrr xx
This is ridiculous! Are there any nurses that you know? I’d make a complaint, this is such an emotionally charged time, deep breath and just think she’s a miserable old cow! Perhaps send lovely Diane a message xx
I think I'll phone again on Fri and ask for a particular nurse, who is fantastic. The number I rang was for people who have a positive test, even when she answered the phone before I spoke, she sounded like she didn't want to be there. Whoever I spoke to is either the nurse in charge, who I found quite blunt or another nurse who caused us stress by saying that we might not get funding AFTER I started taking my meds and had a stressful week waiting to hear back!
I haven't filled in the feedback sheet yet, perhaps I'll put a few pointers about bed side manners lol!! 💙 Xx

Yes definitely call the clinic I'm sure they will be happy with your positive result but you need to make sure you get your meds and you Don't want to be stressed worrying about them Congratulations!!!
Sorry I just saw that you had called and nurse was not very sympathetic I wish all health professionals would take into account the difficult times their patients go through Don't let her spoil your joy x
Another update lol. Got some pessaries from the pharmacy, so one thing less to stress about. Did everyone have to pay for their prescription? Lol.
Also the receptionist at my GP's booked me in for a blood test (my clinic doesn't do them) Earliest available was Monday, so I'm hoping that will put my mind at ease, a bit!!! 💙 💙 😂
I'll phone back on Friday lol. It'll be 19 days since my eggs were fertilised and 43 since my last AF. I just want to enjoy being pregnant, even if it's just for one day! 💙 Xx
