So after egg collection yesterday I got 13 eggs! 10 more than my first cycle. This really shows that a change of medication helps. 10 have fertilised normally and I will get a phone call on Saturday to see if I will be having a 3 day transfer or a 5 day transfer.
One add on which we have opted for is embryo glue, and we have opted to have 2 put back in depending on how many we are left with.
Another add on which we were thinking about is Assisted Hatching....now I wrote a post about this a month or so ago and the feedback was great. But I am scared....I read the negatives are that it can damage the embryo....the embryologist said she cant advise if we should or shouldn't have it but we have until tomorrow to decide....Does anyone have any thoughts again? Diane....if you are reading this would be good to get an insight!! I totally understand that we may not be left with all 10 but it would be so great to have some frozen aswell.
I am still off work for a week and am enjoying this weather
Love to you all xxx

Thank you Cinderella, I am happy but still taking one day at a time. I feel happy my body was able to produce more eggs, but the cautious side of my brain is still saying they might not develope!! I have my feet up and I'm watching this morning lol. Xx
I'm just very new to all this and will be starting first icsi treatment in July. Can I ask what change in meds you had that helped you produce more eggs?x
Hey Ems83, I had IVF back in November 2016 where I was on Bemfola for stimming. I only produced 3 eggs and only one made it to a 3 day transfer. For this cycle my medication changed to having Menopur for stimming and 13 eggs were collected yesterday....still have a long way to go but the change of medication has helped....good luck with your cycle xx
Hi Sara_123, I was actually really worried at my last scan, because I only had about 3 mature follicles (they were around 20mm) and I had a cluster of folliucles which were around the 15/16 mark, I was told to take the trigger shot that night and not to take any more menopur because my estogen levels were 9,000!! so i wasnt expecting more than 4 eggs tbh!! I had prepared for the worst. But I was shocked when the embrologist said I had 13 eggs (out of 16 folliclues). Last time I had 3 eggs out of 9 folliclues.
There is still a long way to go, but I am proud of what my body has achived so far. Even if this dosent work out, I can walk away knowing I done everything possiable.
Good luck for your cycle! When is your egg collection? xx
Thanks for the reply. My day 10 scan is on Monday. Last time my right ovary was hiding nothing much was happening in their. I hoping to see more activities in next scan. I think after the scan they will let me when they are ready for collection.
Thank you hun! Hope it all works out for you aswell. In my case it looks like the follicules grew in between my last scan and egg collection. I was stiming for 11 days x
This all sounds so positive Hun. I am over the moon for you! I hope the glue helps and the rest of the treatment goes well. Maybe you'll end up with twins!!
Anna! How lovely to hear from you I am hoping we do get some good embryos to put back and to freeze! I wouldn't mind twines either lol. Hope your doing well xxx
Thank you moogs, I started off being on 225iu, then after a week this dropped to 150iu. Hope all goes well to you to. Happy to answer any more questions xx
Wow that's brilliant!!! Well done you! Can't comment on the assisted hatching but hopefully some of the other ladies on here will be able to help. Best of luck for your transfer and 2ww xxxx
