Hi Ladies,
I’m just wondering if anyone is having their IVF journey in Exeter Fertility? 🙃
Happy Easter! 🐣 xx
Hi Ladies,
I’m just wondering if anyone is having their IVF journey in Exeter Fertility? 🙃
Happy Easter! 🐣 xx
I could not be further away if I tried in Yorkshire! But good luck and Happy Easter!
I'm in North Somerset, but wasn't in Exeter Fertility for mine. Had my first ICSI in BCRM (Bristol) then 2nd round in Bath Fertility. Hope it goes well for you, Ive heard Exeter are really good. Used to work with someone who had 2 rounds in Exeter and both were successful xx
Thank you Lilli79 , what stage are you at now with your second round? Hope all is going well for you! Xx
Hi KJLee currently 14 weeks with twins 😊 when is your EC? xx
Eek! Oh how fabulous!! Congratulations! 🤗
Not sure yet. Had my down reg scan last week. Final scan booked in for 9th April so hopefully during that week! Fingers crossed.
Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy xx
Great news, hope it all goes well for you 😊 Everyone on here is really helpful, feel free to ask if you have any questions xx
Congratulations! I’m currently waiting to start down regging with our first cycle of ivf at bath fertility! How did you find the clinic and the process? Xx
Hi Rach, we found Bath Fertility very good. Are you nhs or private there? Everything was very straightforward, and its a nice clinic. The staff are all lovely & helpful. Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck with your cycle xx
Our first cycle is nhs funded. We are impressed so far too! Thank you, did you have a nurse show you how to inject? The consultant showed us briefly but I was under the impression that someone would show us exactly what to do? Xx
Yes the nurse did show how to inject. Are you due to go in for more scans soon? I'd ask them to demonstrate then, the consultant appointments tend to be a bit more rushed than the nurses appointments. There are plenty of YouTube videos with instructions though. Are you planning to do injections yourself or get your partner to do them? I did them myself as I preferred that, but I know some ladies prefer their partner to do them.
Ah okay. Not until day 1 for my baseline for stimms so I’ll have had 2 weeks of injecting by then! My hubby isn’t good with injections so going to try and do them myself....did you do them or your partner? X
Yeah my husband is the same, so I did them myself. I was happy to, I could do it in my own time and all that. Plus I was injecting in the morning and my husband is crap in the morning so figured he'd probably poke me in the eye or something!! To be honest I prefer injections, I was on buserilin sniffers the first time and felt rubbish on them and then switched to injecting buserilin which was much easier. You'll be fine, you have a few fluffs at the beginning and then get better with time. Just make sure you get rid of all the air in the syringe before injecting - it kinda hurts when you don't. I always think though if you could do any real damage to yourself by injecting then they wouldn't let you do it yourself xx
Had 2 rounds there last year but have changed clinics for round 3
Ahh what clinic are you with now Lamorna80 ?
Manchester(!) Just arrived for a scan tomorrow morning. The clinic is near the airport so it’s easy to fly from Newquay and then we’re having a bit of a break in the Peak District during egg collection/transfer. It was just getting frustrating as we had to liaise with Cornwall & Exeter and now understanding the process and everything that’s involved, we felt we just wanted to deal with one clinic.
I’m close to you ish I live in Yeovil, Somerset, but I’m having my treatment in Bath fertility clinic.
We had our first two rounds in Exeter but the last two in Spain & about to have our FET in Spain also. We’re about 30 mins drive away. Have you had your first scan after starting stimms yet? Xxx
I haven’t started any ivf yet until I have surgery first to remove a tube.
Exeter would be my closest though. Are you NHS funded or private?
Also heard Bath Fertility is a lovely clinic
How many appointments / how much time does it all take at the start of ivf? How do you get time away from work?
Good luck to you all xx
I’m in burnham on sea had one cycle at bcrm Bristol then put onto waiTing list for DE been waiting 3 years now! So we went private to Cyprus and currently pregnant after 3rd go there. Still on waiting list (god forbid if something goes wrong with this pregnancy we are still entitled to 2nd nhs go) but as bcrm is closing to nhs we are now with Exeter on their waiting list! X
BCRM now accepts NHS patients again!!! Congratulations Blondyboo!
Really? We have had letters telling us to choose another clinic?! Although we are Donor eggs so might be different I heard Dr Lambert in charge of DE has left?
Exeter’s success rates are not so good. Had one cycle with them but have now moved.
