Air in syringe

Started stimming today. 1st round. We prepared 2 syringes of menopur but I forgot to push the liquid out of the end of the 2nd before injecting. So think I injected about 0.1ml of air into my leg. Just waiting for 111 to ring back. Has anyone else done this? We were so careful as well getting rid of all the air bubbles.

I asked about that once as I was panicking. That amount of ait won't harm you. They don't give us enough tools to do any harm otherwise we would have to get medical professionals to do all the injections. Please don't worry xx

*Air not ait!

They also mentioned that as we inject into fat essentially it is also fine. I.e we aren't injecting straight into a vein. We have air going in and out of our bodies all the time - not just our mouths, nose and bottoms. 🙊

So again- no need to panic

Hi elprup33. Just read this, so would expect you got your reply from 111. However, remember you are not giving the drug into an artery/vein so you won’t be harmed. If you can, once you’ve pushed the needle into you, pull back a bit on the plunger and if you are in a vein, blood will come back. If it does, just pull back on the depth of the needle then inject. I’m sure you will be fine, so try not to worry, it happens, even with pre-loaded syringes when you have your vaccinations. Good luck with the cycle. Diane

Hi Elprup, we worried about the same thing. I kept saying to my OH I don't want to die because I'm injecting myself with air. I've seen enough Miss Marple to know you can kill someone that way. Then Googled it and that is only dangerous if you inject air into a vein. Into fatty tissue it's ok. Good luck with the further injections. We're on day 7 and getting a bit sore now x
