I’m home from EC this morning. We have 7 eggs in Lab hoping to fertilise overnight. OH sperm sample was best one yet and a lot higher than before. Doctors all sound positive!
Feeling very very sick from anaesthetic hoping it will wear off soon. Any tips on how to stay relaxed and calm over be coming days as I know I’m a big worrier!

Good luck for today. My clinic forgot to ring us the next morning thinking they had already called us so we were a mess by the afternoon when I called them to find out what was happening. If they don’t call you call them just in case. Waiting for the daily call was nerve racking. We had four fertilise and they all made it to day five although one was always a day behind. Remember it only takes one! Xx
We were going to have PGS testing but we are trying to opt for a fresh cycle as the Lab feel we are young and should not need to worry about Pgs so hopefully we will transfer one fresh embryo Tuesday xxx
Ah fair enough, I guess that does make sense really, its nice that you get a fresh transfer! Hopefully you'll get a few nice frostie's for the freezer too! xxx
Hi jade1003. Just wishing you huge success with embryo development and transfer when it is done. Make surer you rest when you can, and drink plenty of water. Diane
You have to have a medium full bladder and there is a tiny bit of uncomfortableness especially when she was scanning near my bladder but no pain or anything. Was amazing seeing the blastocyst embryo on the screen and then it being put in and they check it has definitely gone in. The doctor was amazing. She took her time made sure I was comfortable even warmed up the speculum and checked it wasn’t too uncomfortable for me. I think it all helped me stay relaxed. We had a laugh about my husband calling the best two embryos Bert and Ernie and the embryologist wrote Bertie on the envelope with the photo of the blastocyst she chose. We still call baby Bertie but don’t think that will be their actual name. Xx
