Where we are with infertility

PyjamasandCrumpets profile image

Been trying to conceive for 3 and a half years - it's unexplained according to the doctors. Had one failed IVF nearly a year ago. Currently undergoing a natural frozen IVF cycle. Had two blastocysts transferred on Friday.

Welcome to the forum and I hope your 2ww is going as well as it can.

What a brilliant name by the way, I find pyjamas and comfort food are the only way to cope sometimes 😊 x

Welcome! I'm also "unexplained infertility" too; waiting for a May appointment with a specialist to confirm.

Massive luck on your frozen cycle!

All the best with your 2ww., hope it doesn’t drag on, and good luck for test day hope it’s successful 🌈💞 xoxo

Hi Have you & your partner been checked for vitamin b12 ,folate & vit D levels. These when low can cause infertility in the female & the male.Unfortunately the medical professionals are not educated in nutrition.A genetic mutation Mthfr that lowers b12 ,b6 & folate causes homocysteine to rise resulting in frequent miscarriage, pre eclampsia’foetal abnormalities.Vit c supplements are beneficial as well for better quality sperm.Inform partener not to carry mobile phone as it effects sperm health latest from IVF .

Pj&Crumpts, this is an emotional journey till TWW. It is not necessary to take a lot of rest after the frozen ET. Doctor stress on keeping yourself calm. People often fear of moving thinking that the embryo may fall on mobility, which causes a lot of stress on mothers. Therefore, it is necessary staying positive and keep calm. When the embryo is transferred it is the responsibility of the endometrium to do the work. Moving will not harm the embryos but the stress and anxiety will. Hopefully, this will transfer will be a success. Sending Good vibes!!

Good luck xx
