what happens after the ivf consent appointment at Glasgow Royal

hi

can anyone tell me how long after the consent appointment at glasgow royal infirmary does the ivf treatment start. i've just had bloods done and was told the results will be discussed with me at the consent appointment on 12th april.

Hi seefa after the second appointment you are told to contact when your period starts, I know when I phoned to be booked in it was very busy and had to be provisonally booked I for the following month, feels like there is so much waiting around when you are waiting to start, once you start it flies by! hi NB610. thanks for your reply. I have the consent appointment on the 12th April. do you think i'l start the treatment around may/june. ? my period is due at end of the month. so if they are busy when I call for the treatment then it will probably likely to start end of June. how is your ivf journey going?

Yeh it would probably be June if it's anything like when I was booking in, will depend on whether you are on a short or long protocol as well. I was on a short protocol so went in on day 2 of my period for bloods and a scan and was given my injections to start, that was my first cycle last month which failed, we managed to get 5 frozen embryos tho which I'm pleased about, I'm waiting on my period to arrive and have to phone about a frozen transfer xx

I am just trying to plan some time off but it's difficult to predict when the treatment will start. will just need to see how it goes.
