I believe it is. I have been having these type of pains on and off from 4weeks to now at 7 weeks. Know nurse said it normal unless it gets v v painful and it lasts quite a while. Mine can b pretty painful but only lasting for bout 20-30 seconds so think it ok. Maybe ask clinic if worried but think it body stretching n preparing ☺️ enjoy😀

I certainly had period type pains when I found out I was pregnant. Really worried me as I have a history of 3 losses. I had these pains for a few weeks or more. Was told as long as I wasn't bleeding it was just my womb expanding and stretching. If you continue to feel anxious please get in touch with your local EPU. That's what they are there for! When I got an early scan around 7 weeks and to my relief saw all seemed to be well, I relaxed a little. I'm now almost 32 weeks.xo

Hi hun

I'm about 6 weeks and sometimes the pains/cramps are close to being unbearable. My pain threshold is extremly high so it's not that I'm a wimp.

Like you I've been really worried about them but when I spoke to nurse at clinic during week, she said it was not cause for concern and the pains can be a side effect of the cyclogest pessaries I am taking . I'm hoping she is right and counting down days to my first scan on 21st.

I would definitely say yes. I had them before my bfps and continued to have them. My friends all assured me it was quite normal xx
