Failed Icsi

Been TTC for 4 years. This week just had a failed cycle of icsi, had been going well, 12 eggs retrieved, 7 fertilised, one transferred on day 5 and 5 suitable for freezing. 7 days after transfer I started bleeding.

Just feeling so low at the moment and I find people do not understand at all 🙁 x

Aww bless you. My heart goes out to you.

It's totally understandable that you feel low.

And yes, for those who don't struggle with fertility in any way can never 100% understand no matter how much they try because it's all so complex and so many pieces to each person's struggle.

If and when you're ready you have the 5 to continue with which is really great.

Sending you a big hug and praying you start to feel better soon xx

I’m so sorry to hear you have had a failed cycle, it’s so disheartening isn’t it after going through weeks and weeks of meds, scans, procedures and trying to be hopeful to just end the same as every other month.

We’ve had two failed ICSI cycles now and our specialist keeps saying it’s just luck and statistics which really doesn’t make it any easier! Surely we’re all overdue our good luck here!

There are so many ladies on here who understand how you feel so just knowing your not alone may be a little comfort.

Take some time to get your head around it and grieve before focussing on the next step. You have your lovely Frosties there for when you are ready for them too.

Good luck and strength to you xx

Thank you for all your replies, it's so sad that we are all in the same boat, it is comforting to have these forums because you can feel so isolated.

Sk1817, my OTD was yesterday, I knew the test would be negative but it's so upset seeing it in front of you in that wee digital screen.

Hi

The good news is you still have frozen embryos :-)

Base on my experience you should try endo scratch on your next transfer.

Good luck x

Sorry to hear about your BFN. It's hard. The positive thing is that you have embies stored so you can do a FET. Consider a double transfer next time.
