Hi 👋 I’ve had three miscarriages; one natural and two from fets. Have you been referred to a miscarriage clinic yet? If not perhaps you can get a referral from your gp? I’m so sorry for your losses xx
Yeh we got referred in August didn’t see consultant till the 23 rd Oct had bloods all came back normal in December, just had thyroid today and diabetes test as she didn’t test for those so I pushed them. A basic scam which was ok.
I’m just scared as to what’s next on weds when we go see her again.
I really don’t fancy having surgery or die put into my womb 😱 how has it come to this 😭 x
😞 The dye thing is not too bad, don’t fret over that. Do you know if they tested for antibodies against your thyroid? It’s not the same thing as checking your thyroid level.. I’ve been tested for that recently as it was the only thing I’d never been tested for.. haven’t got the results back yet xx
I work on a maternity unit and a close friend who’s been through the same checked what she’s tested me for and said ask her to test u for them. I haven’t had hormone test either I hope they do that first. It just sounds scary plus someone said it’s painful 🤦🏽♀️ xx
Ok thankyou I’ll see what she says weds. Want to avoid it if possible but suppose if it comes to it and having our family it’s just the beginning. Thankyou for ur replies and help means a lot xx
I think everyone here can’t believe what we are going all through . It’s cruel and unfair.
They will need to assess your tubes. You can have it done via laparoscopy- that way you can be checked for endometriosis- this doesn’t show with ultrasound. I had this done last year and till endo was found we 6 years of ttc with “unexplained”. I always feel it is important to rule endometriosis out. It’s called a lap n dye.
I’ve had 2 surgeries and I’m currently waiting for my third one. It’s really not that bad 😊
If the thought of surgery isn’t for you can have a HSG - this is done via X-ray- without anaesthetic. You just take painkillers prior and for most women it isn’t that bad.
You will always hear horror stories but everyone is individual and just because it’s really painful for one person doesn’t mean it will be for you.
I find pelvic examinations severely painful due to my endo - but for most women it’s maybe a little uncomfortable but not that bad.
I assume you’re under a fertility specialist but I think you should also be refered to a miscarriage clinic to run specific tests for causes of miscarriages.
Hey S-wind. Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your losses. I wish you luck for future. Don't lose hope and stay strong. Just hang in there, you will be having your baby soon. I am also on the journey of TTC. It is a rough one. I can understand what you are going through. More power to you. Lots of baby dust your way.
