This is my first post on the network, and I've got to say reading peoples posts has been really helpful and a great deal of comfort!
Today was our OTD and after the 3minutes we had a very faint positive line, we’re not convinced this means good things, although we’re trying to be positive! We’ve contacted the clinic to let them know the result and wondering where we go from here, whether they’ll ask us to test again in a few days time to see if it becomes more prominent. We’ve only used the early pregnancy test strips provided by the clinic, we haven’t used an over the counter one and didn’t know if they’d be more definitive? The waiting until this point has been hard enough, we hoped to know either today and it feels about as inconclusive as it was before I’d tested! I didn’t know what other tests other people had been recommended to use?
Hi there, a line is a line at this stage, congratulations!
It may be worth getting a first response early result test, they're super sensitive and should show a clearer line at this stage, and if the advice is to test again in a few days then you want to make sure you're using the same brand each time (and I'd definitely recommend FRER).
Does your clinic do betas? That's also sometimes an option.
Thank you for you response and advice, I'll grab some of the extra tests and try those too, and I'll go with your recommended brand!
They haven't mentioned them at the moment, I'm wondering if they'll wait until the result of Friday's test? They've been super thorough with everything up to this point though, I can't fault them at all!
Congratulations! So pleased you had a line! I agree that FRER (first response early result) are the best as they are sensitive and pink dye and much better in my opinion to see progression and less chance for evap lines. Good luck! I hope it continues to get stronger over the days.
