Oh my days!! What a Valentine’s Day treat for me and the hubster!!
I didn’t do a pee test as I had a really important pitch meeting at work, so had my blood HCG done just before work. Results came through late afternoon and we got an HCG read of 1544!!
We are in total shock !!
I’m going for another HCG blood test next week to check my levels and am now booked in for my first scan 5 March and another on 19th.
I’m praying that we make it to these key dates and that everything is ok 🙏🙏🙏.
It’s taken us 4 years, 9 transfers and £10s of £1,000s of ££!
I pray that this is our time ❤️❤️❤️
Should I tell my NHS GP at some stage? Currently I’m seeing a fab private clinic on Harley Street so haven’t really thought about that side of it yet.

What steroids did you take? My transfer is tomorrow and it's looking like a much stronger bunch of embryos compared with my first round and the only difference has been that I'm taking DHEA and ubiquinol x

Hey lovely, we had a scratch and steroids - Predisolone. I’m convinced it’s all been to do with my immune system. I think the Steroids made the difference combined with blood thinners and all the other jazz.
The Chinese medicine option was my plan B so didn’t go to see those guys yet.
Ahhh I see, thanks for letting me getting back to me. That's interesting, is that the first time you've done steriods? We're going for the intralipids this time so fingers crossed!xx
I did them once before a couple of years ago with my own eggs, But not before with any of my donor cycles . Ooo let me know what that’s like? I hope it all works for you xx

I'm keen to give it a go, Christ I'd dance naked round the village if it would help....nobody needs to see that though!!🙈🤣 The Prof at my clinic isn't keen on me doing steroids and telling me this is best based on my test results. Just makes me worry that almost everyone else is having success with prednisolone. Fingers crossed I'm not far behind you!!🙏🙏🤞🤞xx
Hey it’s a steroid and combats Killer Cells and immune issues. My Spanish clinic were against it. But as this was my last embryo in Spain I found another private clinic in London and asked him for a second opinion. He recommended that we add the scratch and the Predisolone to the cycle, which we did and 💥. Thank you xx
Congratulations Hannah, what a journey! We got our first BFP in 2013 ok our 3rd round within a year and had our little boy in 2014 it was then 4 year and almost as many heartaches as you until we got our current BFP last October..... twins due in June.
What a journey it is, fingers crossed all is well and you see your little heartbeat at your scan.
Can I ask if this the first time in all your trying that you’ve come this far?
It really depends on your GP if you wanted to tell them now but my GP didn’t but want to know until after the 7 week scan x

We had one chemical pregnancy with an HCG of 15, which a couple of days later turned to 0. Other than that all negatives. I never had a proper positive and i think the number is quite good so hoping we make it through
Yes sounds very strong, don’t think you need to worry about chemical pregnancy. I forgot how nerve wracking it all is since my first pregnancy when the agonising tww becomes the agonising 5 week wait but it’s all good. I’m sure all will be well. Many congrats again!

Thank you, I thought I would never here, this time I had a scratch the month before, (didn’t have that with any of my donor transfers, this was the last embryo so wanted to do everything possible)
Daily Super dose Folic acid + Bvitamins (i have MTHFR)
Daily Blood thinners - I have Prothombin Factor 2
Oestrogen patches (2 patches 2x a week )
and progesterone 3 a day
Plus this time round I took Steroids x 5 a day.
I’m convinced the steroids have made the difference

Good luck with you first scan. Im just seen you had a BFP i would jump up and down for you but at 9wk pregnancy my morning sickness has increased but i havent been actually sick. I hope embie has a strong heart ☺☺☺ im so excited for you.
