Not responding to microdose lupron protocol IVF

Hi all!!I am quite veteran with ivf protocols but this time I am trying a different one : microdose lupron. I did estrogen priming instead of BCP to avoid being over suppressed but I don't know if the lupron (decapeptil) is already too much for my poor tired ovaries...After 5 days of stim the biggest follicle is measuring only 6mm. Any hope out there??

Hi Bebespera

I don't have any experience of your protocol but I do have experience of different protocols and not every one working. I guess that is why each clinic is different. Keep going. Sometimes there can be huge differences in just a day or two.

Wishing you all the best.

xx

Thanks for the encouragement Camillage!!Do you have any protocol that was the star for you? Are you normal responder or low responder?

in reply toBebespera

Hi

I am a very poor responder. I only have a very few follicles left and so far my left ovary has been very lazy. I responded best to the protocol at nhs but have not continued down that route. I am now on the donor egg journey. I have read loads of stories of people who have responded poorly and then gone on to have the response required overnight. Keep positive. Xx

Thanks friend!!I see that you are doing the treatment in Barcelona!!May i ask which clinic?I am from Madrid, but went to Barcelona to a very good doctor especialized in immunological issues related to implantation failure. She is great. I see that you have had implantation failure. There is a list of tests to be done to verify that the failures are not related to immunological issues, blood issues (trombophilias) or tyroid issues. Have you done those tests??

Hi

I have dm'd about my clinic. I am giving another try before going down the route of lots of expensive tests. I have had my thyroid checked and there is nothing wrong with that. There is also quite a bit of testing done in the UK before IVF is started. However I am going ahead with another transfer before I embark on any more testing. Just trying to stabilise myself both physically and emotionally before the next round. Really hoping this will be it and no more tests will be needed.

I hope your results do change. Keep thinking positive thoughts and know we are all with you.

xx

My clinic don’t usually scan until days 6-8 as they don’t expect any follicles to be a decent size.

Thanks, it is true that I might have scanned too early but the fact that scared me is that between day 2 scan and day 5 follies hadn't grown at all

Hopefully it's just a bit early and other follicles will pop out on the next scan. Fingers crossed xx
