Finally have a plan, 5th time lucky 🤞

After speaking with my IVF nurse and consultant today we finally have a plan, turns out I did ovulate - well done body!! So I’m going for a natural FET in March following my hysteroscopy.

My consultant has said he doesn’t like the ovulation kit I was using and has recommended a different one so I’m going to try that next month for my own re assurance. The thought of something different totally scares me but I think it has to be worth a try after 2 unsuccessful medicated FETs it can’t turn out any worse 😬

I did ask to go on steroids again though, as although my last cycle ended in heartache it’s the furthest we’ve got and I can’t help wonder if it it is down to the NK cells and me being on the steroids in which they both agreed, phew!

Going to try and enjoy the next few weeks before we get back on the rollercoaster ride. Hope everyone else is doing okay xx

Hey mrs that's great..we are on 5th time lucky too. Haven't been on here much this past week as been peeing on sticks and getting anxious and seems my bleed after scratch may have been an early period but still no smiley face on those damn sticks so thinking might not get our natural fet this month..why can our bodies be so cruel..for years I haven't wanted to see my period and now I really do😢I will be on steroids again this time too...hoping this is our time xxx

Ah it’s so frustrating, I know what you mean things can never be straightforward but I really hope AF arrives soon. Is this your 2nd natural FET? I’m nervous but so relieved they agreed to the steroids. Surely it’s got to be our year! 🤞xx

Great news! I'm glad things are progressing again after what seems like an incredibly long time. Congratulations on ovulating too; it all sounds very positive. Good luck moving forwards.

Out of interest, what sticks did they recommend? I'm coming to the end of AF and thought I'd give trying naturally one last go...xx

Thank you, I’m still shocked my body actually did it lol he recommended the clear blue easy, that have the lines rather than relying on a smiley face. Im unsure how it differs seeing another line or smiley face 🤷‍♀️ but I’m still gona order the new ones lol good luck for this month xx

Aw fingers crossed for you! I've opted for natural too with steriods, clexane and lubion. I've had 3 months of medicated and all cancelled due to lining issues. I feel soooo much better being off the oestrogen, really focused this time off on diet and fitness and have lost 12 1/2lb in 5 wks and walking approx 25-30miles a week!! Feel amazing and so much more positive for it, and for the first time in years when tracking my temp my luteal phase issues seemed (fingers crossed) to have disappeared! I'm meant to be going on next period but if it's delayed another month I'm happy with that as really in the mind frame of getting healthy. Good luck with your upcoming cycle and glad to hear your sticking with the steriods! Xx

Im good thanks! Just waiting on my results from hysteroscopy and bloods then hopefully I my clinic will decide on a plan for me to move forward and if we need steriods/blood thinners etc. God I hate waiting....ha ha ha xx

Well touch wood really well! Just had my second scan, lining is at 9mm so the thaw is taking place on Monday alongside my husbands contribution!! , and transfer (fingers crossed all being well the universe doesn’t want to shit on me again!) on Saturday! X

Hey there. I hope that you're doing good. Okay, so you're having an IVF. Congo to you that you ovulate well. I'm really glad to hear your story. It has a continuous hole in it. It's so good that you shared it here. It will help many other women too. You're lucky that you're getting a chance again and again. You don't have to go on steroids again if it had some side effects on you last time. Of course, Life is the most precious thing above all. And yes if your doc is not satisfied with the kit, you must go for the other. There's no need to get scared for that. Whatever happens, has always had a good reason for it.
