I am officially PUPO! Gosh its a weird feeling isnt it. Had our embryo transfer this morning! Have to say i was a quite uncomfortable but nothing compared to egg collection thankfully!
We had 2 (our only 2) transferred because neither are top quality. We werent told what grade etc and i didnt ask as know it wont make a difference to know, they are either going to stick or they're not! Im at home now resting and already worrying about how to do everything right. We didnt do the mcdonalds chips thing lol. But i will be eating 3 brazil nuts, pineapple & having pomegranate juice daily! Any other tips?
My follicles are filled with blood from EC so consultant acknowledged thats why im still feeling so tender!
I have some cramps not sure if this is normal.

Try to take it easy, keep up your good eating, lots of room temperature water, warm food, keep your feet, tummy and lower back warm. You want that uterus to be warm and have lots of fresh blood flowing in that direction.
Thanks so much Dunla! My feet are always freezing so have 2 pairs socks on, slippers, heating and a blanket!! Theyre still cold but im trying. I have been drinking boiled water slightly cooled just enough so i dont burn myself. Makes me feel like im having a cup of tea lol. I assume that's ok?
Thanks for u well wishes, i hope we both get a BFP! xx
The boiled water cooled is dead on i reckon. My feet and hands are always pretty cold too but Iβm doing the bed socks slipper thing at night and keeping my shoes on during the day. We can only do our best π
All I recommend is don't over think! I ate some Brazil nuts and heard you should keep your feet warm so went to bed wearing socks. Ate lots of vegetables! Other than that I've been keeping things much to normal. All the best for your 2ww xx
Great news!so happy for you! Rest today and from tomorrow start walking for 15 20 min it helps your blood circulation and itβs good for embryos thatβs what my dr told. Eat lots of protein and water.wish you all the bestπ€π»xx
Thanks Anna00!! Oh i didnt know about the walking for 15-20 mins thank you!
My clinic didnt give any advice about what to do or not to do! Im off all week next week so had planned on taking it easy. Im mostly off as my job is very stressful so wanted to avoid any stress that i can!! π xx
Yes they told me not to stay in bed all day as itβs bad for embryos, carry on your normal life and defo have few minutes walk every day it relaxes you takes your stress away and itβs good for embryos πxx
Weβre going in today at 2pm for our transfer and may have the choice of putting one or two back. Looks like weβll be going crazy in the tww together!
Iβve heard laughing is good for you too so watch some funny films!! Feeling good can only help I reckon xx
It was fine physically, not very dignified but I think I left my dignity somewhere about 2 and a half years ago when we started this whole thing!
One of our blastocysts had moved on a bit more than the other so they opted to put that one back and see how the other is doing tomorrow and if itβs good enough to freeze.
Letβs keep doing nice things and relax over the next two weeks. Easier said than done Iβm sure but Iβm gonna try xx
Haha dignity....what dignity? Lol. I certainly have none left. My hubby after told me when i stood up everyone seen my bum, nurse, embryologist, consultant. I didnt even blush lol. Coming from a girl who usually found the 1 cubicle to change in at a gym!
Fab news sounds like urs are looking great and lovely to know u might have another good one in the bank!
Aww Iβve been thinking about you and how youβve been since your experience with the collection. You take it easy and keep yourself occupied because itβs the longest 2 weeks of your life. Wishing you all the best and I have my fingers crossed for you and everyone else on the 2WW π€π»π€π»π€π» xx
Hey, congrats on the news. I remember when I had to go through the egg collection process. It was perhaps the worst thing about my entire experience. I mean, I had to go through multiple rounds of IVFs and those are no walk in the park, by any stretch of the imagination, but that one step. The part where they collect the eggs, that one stays with you, you know? I hope youre following youre recommended in take of whatever the doctors told you to take. I would recommend drinking warmer liquids. Luke warm water and maybe some tea? But be sure to consult your doctors just to be sure. No shame in asking questions, regardless of how dumb they might seem. Be sure to keep active too. You dont want to stay in one place, especially in bed for long stretches of time. It's not advisable to do so, both for physical and mental health. I am all too familiar with cramps as well, because of my PCOS. I'd suggest you monitor any latent symptoms that dont register consciously. Slight muscle tremors, that sort of a thing. You should consult your doctor, all the same. Best to have them on the same page, and at the very least they can ease the anxiety by putting your worries to rest. Wish you good luck, cheers!
Hey Amanda! Thanks for ur reply! I wasn't given any advice from my clinic about what to do or dont do. I have been drinking boiled water, left long enough to cool, basically tea with no tea bag lol. I have also been eating pineapple, brazil nuts, pom juice. I am still quite tender and have cramps but will try a short walk later, thank u xx
