Scan today...

[TTCs]

Hi lovelies!

Sooo we battled the snow which turned out to be fine and had our first monitoring scan today since starting meds a month ago. You have to laugh... at the end the nurse, trying to be kind, ripped off a bit of the paper bedding for me to "wipe myself" of the lubricant following the scan which i had to do behind a curtain whilst the consultant and nurse were still in the room. Who knew a tissue wiping could be so loud 🙈🤣

On another note consultant said it was looking good in there and i have 4/5 follicles on each side. I have another scan in a few days. No changes to meds. Im am taking this and his comment as positive?! Xx

Thank you Dunla!! I think that sounds good 4/5 but this is all new to me so really mostly basing that on his reaction lol.

Haha. At start my hubby was in the room. Sooo glad i opted for him to leave. There is no need for him to see any of that including the long poking device having lube applied 🙈. Any little romance left after 15 years would have been killed then and there 🤣 im only joking but you have to laugh sometimes to make the experience easier 👍 xx

Oh the tissue 🙈 I always felt awkward after like I didn’t know where to put the tissue 😂😂 bin was always behind curtain and I’d be thinking do I hand it to them or put it in myself or hide it in my bag lol! Xxx

🤣 oh its just hideous isnt it lol.

They also said u can get up now and get changed but they were both still in the room at the computer so i had to try and slide of the bed whilst simultaneously wrapping the sheet round me like a burrito to avoid having to choose between a front or behind grand reveal lol.

Im sure the doctors and nurses are used to seeing all sorts of mishaps xx

😂😂 exactly they’re so used to it but we still try to maintain as much dignity as possible, which isn’t much 😂😂 xxx

This made me laugh about the bin 🤣🤣 I get baby wipes at the clinic I’m at, I’ve now become a bit of a ninja at opening the packet of wipes and the pedal bin silently

This made me giggle 🙊 took my husband into the room for one of my scans & the look on his face was priceless lol! We sound like snowday warriors today, very proud we both manage to appointments with the weather against us! Good luck for your next scan 😗 xx

Awww bless you, so glad the scan went well and you have great news 🤗. You’ve made me laugh with the tissue part as you have with everyone else. I remember having 1 scan with one nurse pressing down on my left side and the other with the scan thingy between my legs because my left ovary is high and they couldn’t find it. I then said at the moment of madness ‘your lucky I don’t have wind or you’d be in my pathway if I fluffed right now with all this pressure!!’ 😂😂😂😂 lucky they had a good sense of humour!! 😂😂😂 xx
