I used the cheap ones for a while and became despondent as they never seemed to show a LH surge. I switched to the clear blue dual hormone digital tests and found them to be better as they also tracked a rise in oestrogen so give you a clearer idea when you should be dancing. It’s also very clear when you are ovulating, so no guessing if the test line is as dark as the control line. Only thing is they get a bit extra expensive after a while! Good luck 🍀
I have previously spent a small fortune on the digital tests but my clinic gave me ‘one step ovulation tests’ to use for my natural FET cycle. When I googled them, they’re really cheap! I’ve only just started using them so don’t know yet if they’ll pick up the LH surge. Xx
I used more expensive ones at first whilst I got to know my cycle the switched to cheap “one step” ones from amazon/e-bay.
Don’t be tempted to waste money on the clearblue fertility monitor... I did and the only month I’ve never got a positive for ovulation was on that... and I know I ovulated that month as I got pregnant! It clearly isn’t accurate!
I prefer the clearblue ones - sometimes I can’t tell if it’s positive or not on the cheap sticks, altho last month I used a cheapie and it was a definite positive. If it’s digital you’ll have a smiley face on or before the lucky day so there’s no question. I’ve been trying a long while so I’m best off with the cheapies as it has already cost a small fortune xx
