Menopur

Hi, was wondering if anyone is also on such a high dose of menopur. I'm 43years old and this is my 1st circle. I started with Buselin and on the 15th day went for my 1st scan after which menopur was added.I'm on day 5 of 450 iu (6amps) of menopur daily and I'm suppose to take it for 10days and go for another scan.

Hi, due to low AMH I was also given 450 iu of Menopur and for the same length of time. On occasion the doctor asked me to take an extra day or two following results of scans to try and stimulate a last burst of follicle growth. How are you finding the injections? Menopur is a bit trickier than some of the other options x

Thanks for your response. Apart from slight dizziness and slight stomach cramps I'm good,the other challenge I have is getting all the content into the syringe

Yes that is a challenge. Remember that struggle so well! I had gonal f preloaded injection pen on my first ivf cycle and it really was a lot handier. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Hi Anoo. The dose of Menopur that you have been prescribed, will have been worked out by looking at your hormones levels before starting the cycle, so try not to worry about it, as your specialist wants this to work for you just as much as you. Good luck and I shall be thinking of you. Diane
