DHEA ... to take or not ?

Just wondering if any of you have taken DHEA as part of IVF prep ? If yes where did you buy it ?

I'm currently taking it. I bought the micronised version from a US website that ships to the UK (takes about 10 days). As far as I know there is nowhere in the UK you can buy it.

I’m doing the same as you carolinono4. I’ve been taking it for about 3 weeks. Did you notice any difference with your cycle length or any side effects?

I’m on 25mg three times daily, thanks

I started on 25mg and worked up to 75mg but dropped back down to 50mg last week. I've found my hair getting a bit oilier but dropped the dose as I had a couple of palpitations and thought it was also giving me a bit of insomnia. I feel much better after dropping the dose.

I’m doing the same as Caroliono4, hoping it increases the quality of my eggs, also taking uniquinol which supposed to be good, got that from Holland and Barrett (£43.99 for 50 caps!!! 😳) x

I've been taking it for about three months now. I got it online from the US too. When I first took it I had trouble sleeping so I started taking the last tablet earlier in the evening instead of just before bed. No idea of it has made any difference yet though!

I just started DHEA 75mg.

I got it from Biovea.com. It took about 7 days for delivery. Got promo code for 15% off BVWM15 I think this a a universal code so should be able to be used a number of times xx

I took it for my second cycle along with Co Q10. First cycle all embryos stopped developing and a large number were immature. Second cycle 9/13 eggs mature. 7 fertilised and we got two blastocysts so we were pleased with the effect it had for us. We got it from an online vitamin and supplements store. Micronised is the best form to take as detailed in the book 'it starts with the egg' which I found a really good read and has loads of info that the clinics don't go into xx best of luck xx

Anyone got any information about who should take dhea, who should not and what difference is between dhea and dha?

Dha is something different i take a supplement combined with omega 3. It’s also meant to be good for fertility. Dhea is hormone/steroid found to help with egg quality/quantity x
