Taking micronised DHEA for too long for IVF

Hi Ladies. Could you please give some advise regarding micronised DHEA

2 failed IVF abroad and very low AMH and high FSH.

I have been taking micronised DHEA for 3 months. but now I feel nausea,feeling full and pulpitation. That is why I stopped taking DHEA.

But I can go for another IVF in 2 months. Do I need to take the DHEA continuously until next IVF? Is it OK to take DHEA for a long time?.

My sister she is the infertility doctor, her advise in your situation should stop to take it for at least 1 month

Now you stopped taking the DHEA have your symptoms gone away? Why do you think it was DHEA causing it? It could be something else?

It's provably good to stop and see if you improve.

If your body reacts badly, it can't be worth taking. It's not guaranteed to help everyone's fertility, anyway. There is a lot of uncertainty around it. I took it for 3 cycles and it didnt help me. Maybe better for you to do all the other things to boost fertility - good diet, relaxation, etc. Good luck x

After I stopped this week I am feeling better. So as you said I am going to stop it for 1 month as see.

I’m very low AMH 0.08 and very high FSH 34 , I’m taking DHEA , COQ10, vitamin D3, prenatal now, but I adjust the amount time to time, for instance: I take 3 DHEA for today but tomorrow I take just 2 and the next day I take 3 so it does help me feel better. I’m going to start my ivf cycle for next fews day. So I’m on your boat

I am on spousal visa. So I am not eligible for free NHS fertility treatment in UK. That is why I need to go to abroad to do an IVF. last year I went and all 2 IVF are failed.

I planned to go this year maybe in 2 months.

I’m sorry to hear that. I live in USA. Luckily I have insurance so it help me for the medication. May I ask you the reason for your failure in last 2 cycle ? Is this the problem of egg? I just want to know to have more experience in my case . You do not to answer if you don’t want to.

That’s what I worry. I’ve been searching about low AMH the problem will be less egg and may not quality. Do you try to do acupuncture? I’ve heard it help one women even raise up the AMH . I think you should try it before trying the next ivf

I don’t try acupuncture yet . For my reaching I know it will help. Now I’m on the road of day 3 centrotide. Expect waiting for the period day and I will be starting the drug for stimulation. I

Here is my road. My doctor start test ovulation on day 10 and when they see positive I start to use vivelle patch the next day I start 3 days continuous injection certotide. Then wait until my period coming. They are expecting my period will be come around in a weeks after stop certotide. And it come the next day after I stop certotide .Tomorrow I will have blood test and ultrasound then will be start menopur and gol F injection for 10 days. ( if the result is good ) Be honest I don’t know what certotide do.
