Problems sleeping

hi all,

just wondering if anyone else has sleeping problems, generally I'm a good sleeper but on the build up to appointments I struggle to stay asleep all night. I had the same issue back in November before a hospital appointment, I then ended up having 2 days off work as it all became too much. A mixture of anxiety and excitement this time, which it wasn't last time (!) but I don't fancy 9 days of poor sleep now.

I'm not a big fruity/herbal tea drinker, so any other ideas would be great!!

x

I've started using bach's night time rescue remedy on the nights I can't sleep. It doesn't make you drowsy, just helps switch off the brain as such. It's like you can't be bothered to think about anything which then helps you get to sleep. It's herbal and safe to take while pregnant and is a tiny ball that dissolves on your tongue xx

Hi, I have had issues with sleeplessness due to anxiety also.

I have used relaxation guided meditation and fertility meditation such as the one by Zita West to help me fall asleep. I downloaded them to my phone from iTunes and listened to them on my earphones when I got into bed at night. It really helped me get to sleep.

Hoping you find something that works for you xx

Oh yes I really struggle when there’s something on my mind, and it just makes everything else more stressful!! I told my acupuncturist and he told me he could help, and it was like magic! But seriously it helped so much, I would definitely recommend, good luck! Xx

Hey I've been an insomniac since I was about 10. I've tried everything through the years but recently (last year or so) I've been sleeping really well. Only thing I can attribute is reflexology, giving up meat & dairy (I'm now completely vegan), cutting down on sugar, cutting down on caffeine (I still drink coffee but only as a treat) and restricting alcohol - these are long term solutions. Short term I would say oil diffusers, baths and magnesium oil sprays (really good for restlessness). With all of the latter do a bit of research as you'll need to choose the right oils that don't interfere with fertility etc. Hope you can get some sleep, it has really affected my life so I understand your frustration. I am finally glad to be getting some good sleep 😴
