FSH blood test

Hi everyone. I’ve been sent for (another) blood test to check for fsh amongst other things, ready for our referral for ivf.

The consultant didn’t say I had to go on a particular day of my cycle so I booked it in for Monday. Now worried that I need to go on Day 3 of my cycle as google has suggested?!

Gosh it’s so long ago; but I think mine was between day 2-4. But my periods were all over the place. Can you call and ask? My second FSH test wasn’t done on any particular day... confusing!

Thank you for your response emu! I think I’m just going to get it done as I feel like I’ll need to repeat these tests anyway! X

Yes FSH bloods are normally done on days 2-4 of your cycle when this hormone is supposedly at its highest!! I’ve had it done a couple of times as I’ve borderline high FSH!!
