Amh 0.5 and starting short protocol ivf .....

Hi there - I have just signed up to this as have been googling like mad.

I'm 33 and just found out my amh is 0.5. Funding a private cycle which should start early Feb. Has anyone had success with ivf and this low amh ? Please help ....

My name is Amy and I’m 38

I have a low AMH too but have been having egg donation as I was NHS funded and they won’t fund me to have standard IVF. Would love to hear your progress as now we have to go self funded and was going to see if any of the private clinics would offer IVF using my own eggs.

Hi Amy

Well my ivf clinic have not mentioned anything about donor eggs so far. My consultant seemed optimistic that my own eggs may be fine ( just less in numbers). We are funding the first cycle. It's so expensive - but felt waiting another 6 months to qualify for NHS funding worried us more)

I had very low amh and high fsh. I had ivf with my own eggs (2 fresh and one frozen). I once produced 2 eggs and the second time 5 (with a mixture of gonal f and menopur). My little boy is the result of the frozen cycle. I was also older then you (38 when I did the ivf)
