Not sure about this post, it’s not great for many of us who are actually dealing with IVF DE and other issues not mentioned. Also I think it would be nice to hear that just for one or two days that you could decide to let your hair down and enjoy life with those who are most important to you and try to have a few days of celebration in an otherwise difficult time. That would be my advice but I’m no expert!

Oh, I’ve just re-read it and I do see what you mean - the bit about more sex is probably completely irrelevant to most of us - I know I’ve pretty much accepted it’s never going to happen naturally and I, like you am considering donor eggs if our current cycle is unsuccessful. I think I just thought the bit about preparing for any questions was useful - but that’s only tip number one! And I agree, I think we should allow ourselves to relax and indulge a little at this time of year. I hope you have a lovely Christmas xxx

Yes preparing for questions is a good point. I’ll never forget the time my Mum said, ‘I just can’t believe a daughter of mine is having problems when I found it so easy’. My husband almost lept over the table! It’s hard when others don’t understand and I think everything can get a bit exaggerated this time of year. I have tried to read everything positive about DE and if nothing else it will lead me to a conclusion one way or another. I hope your cycle works for you, keeping everything crossed xxx

Thanks Emma, very insensitive of your Mum - people say the most inappropriate things. Everything crossed for you too xxx
