I started on Menopur on Friday, but I’m finding I really struggle with it. I just can’t seem to get the liquid out of the bottle for injecting! I used Gonal F last time which was really easy, but this time I’ve been changed to menopur and I just can’t do it. Every morning is a challenge to get enough out the bottle. I’ve tried injecting air into the bottle, having air in the needle, no air etc, but just still struggle. Anyone have the same issue or a resolution?
Keep your drawing up needle right at the neck of the vial when drawing back the liquid into your syringe. I also found holding it up to the light useful, like to a lamp... hope that helps xxx
Aww... I feel your pain! It used to take me a good hour to do the 2 menopur injections in the evening. I tried various methods and used to tilt the vials to try and get every last drop into the syringe. It does kinda get a bit easier the more you do it xx
I’m getting 3 days out of one vial and I think it does get easier on the 2nd and 3rd day but it just feels like the pressure can’t be right in the vial or something. I miss the gonal F pen!
