Had my blood test results back today, they showed that combined with the high nuchal translucency the baby is at high risk of the 3. I'm having the CVS on monday to find out if there is anything else and to to find out for sure. We have to wait 10 days for the results. I'm not coping very well, I knoe that Edwards and patau can be deadly. I already feel like I'm grieving for mt baby. Has anyone else been through this? At the moment it feels like I'm living in a nightmare. I feel a fool to beleive that everything was going to be ok because I had some early scans. Heart broken and scared xxx

My husband made me have this test with our first Ivf pregnancy and. I never forgave him for it sometimes it’s a age thing as I was over 40 I was just put in a high risk even before the test was finished . I had a private blood dna test to check the finding and the baby was normal , but unfortunately we lost our boy at 19 weeks ,

Be kind to yourself , it’s hard to not get angry but enjoy your little one and being pregnant is wonderful

I'm so sorry to read this, what a worrying time for you. Were you given info about arc? arc-uk.org/. They're a charity who provide support through antenatal screening. I have previously called them and got a lot out of the call. I'll keep everything crossed for you. Xx

I know it’s different, but a couple I know were told that their baby had a hole in its head and were advised to terminate. They decided to wait and the baby was born with no hole in its head, but was blind in one eye...

I’ve heard the Tommy’s charity are nice people to speak with x

So sorry to hear what you are going through. Unfortunately I have been there. After our first IVF at the 12 week scan they picked up high NT and our girl also had a hernia on her stomach so didn't look good. The CVS confirmed Edwards. You are in my thoughts and I pray that all will be ok for you and your little one. Feel free to message me if you want to chat.xx

Keep ppsitive. My friend was told similar and she has a perfectly healthy 2-year old. She took a blood test privately for genetic testing. Good luck.
