Sickness worse because on pessaries?

Hi, I am almost 9 weeks pregnant through FET. I am extremely nauseous and sick at least 3-4 times a day 🤢 Is it likely that all the extra progesterone from the pessaries is making the sickness worse? I stop them at 10 weeks, assume the tablets as well.

I'm not sure whether the pessaries make the sickness worse I'm afraid but I had terrible morning sickness which continued well after I stopped the pessaries I'm afraid to report! It really is hideous - some of the things which kept me going were eating and drinking little and often, travel sickness bands, always carrying a plastic bag/Tupperware, taking time off work when it was really bad and perseverance - it did pass eventually...good luck x

Unfortunately not the case for me. I stopped my FET medication last Friday.

Since around 7 weeks 5 days pregnant I've been vomiting, becoming worse around a week later and still bad now (I'm 10 weeks 4 days).

It's tough, all I can advise is get plenty rest and go to the doctor if it becomes unmanageable. Doctor has given me some tablets, not sure they've helped much to be honest but I'm still continuing with them in the hope they will help. I was also signed off work for 2 weeks as at home I'm maybe sick 7 times but at work it's like 15+ times and that was hard!

Hi Phoebenooby. V omitting is one of the lesser side effects of progesterone pessaries, but they can aggravate you. Perhaps have a word with your midwife/doctor and see whether you need to keep using them now you are 9 weeks pregnant. You could also talk to them about weaning off them so you reduce the dose gradually. Hope you soon feel better. Diane
