Hi all, we have our appointment tomorrow for the 2nd nhs round of icsi. I’m racking my brain for questions to ask because I always come out of there and remembering ones that I forgot 😡. I have more info in my profile of what’s happened so far. I just feel like I’ve been left to it in my last round, wasn’t told what my amh levels were, the grades on my embryos (I had 9 collected and 4 fertilised, got to day 5 transfer with 2 being put back, other 2 stopped growing and the ones that were transferred were slow growing)
Left ovary high up but I know I have to mention that when I started stimms I felt more on the left so don’t know if I had more follicles but they couldn’t see.
I would be very grateful for info and questions I should ask. Thank you all and I don’t know what I’d do without this forum 😘😘

Hi Diane, all of my questions were answered luckily. I’m a bit sad to know that my amh levels are low, they like it to be 8 but mine is 3 😢. He also mentioned that if we had a different consultant then they wouldn’t have given me another go so thankfully we seen him. He also mentioned that we only have a 5% chance of it working 😢. I’m grateful for his honesty because We wouldn’t want any false hope. It’s our last chance and hopefully it’ll work so bring on January 2018. He did mention a drug beginning with B, I’m sure I haven’t heard of it from the other drugs that are normally given, also I’m having the long protocol instead of short so I’m hoping it’ll be better. Thank you for getting back to me, it means a lot xxx
Was thinking of. Sorry to hear your sad news but pleased to see they will let you have another chance. Was it buserelin that's what I take on a long protocol xxx
Thank you 😊, I was trying to take so much in and the consultant had an accent which made it a little awkward, it sounds familiar but asking my hubby and looking up at all drugs beginning with B we also found one called Bemfola, he definitely said it was pre filled syringe. I don’t know what I’d have done if they said ‘there’s no point in doing another round’ I think I would of gone all chuck norris on them and freaked out 😂😂. How did you find buserelin luv? xx
Hi. Well it looks like you had a good consultation. So pleased that he’s giving you a chance, so just got to hope he finds some good eggs to use. I’ve had a few ladies successful with low ovarian reserve, so it can happen. Maybe the drug is Buserelin used to down regulate you?? If it’s not let me know when you find out. You can private message me or email me in confidence to support@fertilitynetworkuk.org Roll on 2018 and I DO hope it will be your year. Diane
I have a cyst on my right ovary now and it’s only my right one that’s working so thank you for the info. Just waiting for a call back to see if I can take the dhea x
Hi. Ok. DHEA is like a steroid that can help to improve egg collection. Taken for about 2 months prior to egg collection, has been known to increase yield a little. Good to start on a Day 21 as less likely to develop any cysts during treatment. You could ask specialist his/her thoughts on DHEA. Diane
I’m clueless luv, don’t even know what that is 😳, is it a vitamin? I’m taking folic acid 5mg, vit d, vit b complex, omega 3, co q10 and acidophilus as of now. Is it a good one to take? x
I think you should only take it if advised to by your clinic, so I'd ask them if it could be good for you. If you go to my profile you'll see a post on DHEA and in the responses there's a link to a video all about it. It can help to increase egg and embryo quality and quantity. I've been advised to take it for at least 8 weeks before starting round 2. Started today x
Thank you so much, can you tell me where you got yours from? There’s so many websites, I’ll buy 1 but will ring clinic on Monday before trying them first x
No worries x all the stuff I've read about it says it's not suitable for everyone and must be advised by your clinic as it's a steroid with possible side effects x
