TMI but I've just been cleaning out old progesterone gel before inserting nightly dose and some of it was very Dark brown. I clean it out every night so now I'm panicking. Has anyone else had this? What is it? Is it the start of bleeding?

HELP!
It's probably your cervix getting irritated from you cleaning it I don't have that problem but tbh I don't go that far up to clean I shower and put the shower head up when I wash and wipe I see clumps of it I'm on it once a day same stuff as you. Ring your clinic tomorrow and ask if there I'd anything to be worried about but I don't think so I bet your cervix is irritated 💗🤗😘
Thanks. After the cramping I had last week I must have just sat and looked at it for 2 minutes allowing my brain to comprehend what this could mean. My 7 week scan is meant to be friday but I might beg my clinic to see if they'll scan me tomorrow. I was terrified before but now I am on a different level of panic x
It can be normal to bleed in early pregnancy. Be positive each day your little bean is getting more comfortable and strong. Sending you positive vibes xx
Last time I bled I was having a miscarriage.
How are you today have you rung the clinic xx
I rang this morning and they said could be old blood. I've just been to the toilet and there is more brown so now I'm convinced this is all ending for us. I'm waiting for them to ring me back to see if they'll let me come in for scan later today/tomorrow. X
I hope you get an early scan and everything is ok. Xx
Brown blood is usually old blood. Try not to worry. It’s probably just your system cleaning itself out.
Hey, I had this at 5 weeks 5 days. I was actually inserting my pessaries quite high and a lovely lady on here (I think it was Oakey) suggested I might be inserting them too high. From that day on I've made sure that I only insert them enough that they're in, I haven't had any brown spotting since. I'm 9 weeks 3 days now. Please try not to worry, brown is old and it very likely is the cervix becoming irritated xxx
Hi Amanda...yes it was me! (You must have a good memory) Glad to hear it helped you. Not long now and you'll be done with the things! Xxx
