Hi all, sadly I’ve only just found this group even though I’m now on my 4th cycle! Wish I’d known you were all here when it started over a year ago!
I’m about to start my 2 nd fresh cycle. I’ve always been quite active, I play hockey each week and run but the 1st cycle I did Exactly what I was told and gave it all up as soon as I started the down regs.
2 further frozen cycles later and I’m now wondering if anyone has done any exercise when doing the stimulation drugs or is that just a no no?
I read horror stories of ovaries tearing etc?
I certainly won’t go mad but almost a stone heavier than I was last year the whole things depressing enough as it is without giving everything up.
Any advice??

Welcome to the forum, it sounds so similar to when I joined. I was just about to start my 4th cycle and the support I got from here gave me the strength to do it.
I don’t think you should do strenuous activity when stimulating, I still went to the gym during down reg but then just walked once I started stimming. Wishing you lots of luck xx
I’m only on my first round, (currently experiencing the longest 2 weeks of my life) and I’ve stopped all exercise. I usually run and play netball and do yoga, but I’ve found it way too hard over the last month. During the stims I was doing some really gentle stretching and I felt my ovary pull a little and it was SO painful so even though it didn’t do any actual damage I thought (and the nurse confirmed ) it best to stop.
In saying that though, my clinic originally said I could do everything while on stims right up until a couple of days before ec, so I’m sure if you feel ok you can do it?
They also said I can do yoga and run/play netball during the 2ww because I always do those things but I’m too scared it’ll impact my chances of success.
I’ve also put on weight just in the last month so I understand how stressful that is! I’m trying to just walk everywhere and hoping that helps.
Thanks so much for getting back to me. Hope you’re surviving the 2 ww? Thanks for the advice, interesting that your clinic said you could carry on although as you say sounds like I’ll have to play it more on how I’m feeling. Really don’t want to do any damage to my ovary as this is our last go! Best of luck to you. Hoping for a bfp for you!
