I have no advice but wish you all the strength and luck in the world. I look forward to seeing your posts xx
Hi, with induction they use oxytocin to get the process going. This is the normal hormone that is produced during labour - the idea is to try and trick your body into thinking that it’s in labour. I think what happens is that to start with they give you a tablet to try and get things moving and if not successful another tablet 24 hrs later and if still not successful then they put you on a drip which contains it. I was put on the drip straight away, but that’s only because there was meconium in my waters when they broke so they needed to get it moving quickly. If you’re on the drip then most likely you’ll also be hooked up to a machine which measures your contractions and keeps an eye on baby’s heart rate (not sure how they measure twins heart rates). I found it quite useful to be able to see when a contraction was coming so that I knew when to turn on my tenns machine to make it the most effective. I was hopeless at getting the timing right when I wasn’t watching it. You can move about a little when you’re hooked up to the machine but you can’t go very far which I found a bit frustrating. Good luck with it all!
The nct forum might be a place to ask.
I’ve been told that I will not be allowed to go over due date due to it being an ivf pregnancy but only at 35weeks with a singleton
That’s common with IVF pregnancies - I was told the same (though when I asked about it on here a few ladies said they were allowed to go over. Once again a case of different areas doing different things!) I hope it all goes well!
I don't have any advice sorry but wanted send you my best wishes. X
Good luck with the twinnies! My sister just had hers through induction unfortunately ended up with c section. My advice would just be go with the flow with no expectations and you will be just fine. 5 weeks until mine xx
Good luck xxx
You totally have to go with the flow. I was induced a couple of weeks ago at 40 wks. Contractions started quickly but weren’t moving anything along. In the end I had to have a c-sect but ultimately all I cared about was my baby being ok.
I now have a beautiful baby boy 😍
Good luck! X
Good luck hun. No advice haven't been induced just had labour speeded up that ended in c section. Like the others have said don't go in with expectations. Birth plans are good in the lead up to birth once your there it all can get thrown out the window. Go with the flow most importantly don't stress. Congratulations and good luck 💗🤗😘
No advice but wanted to wish you all the best for a safe delivery!xx
How you doing hun? Hope everything's ok 💗🤗😘
