Hello ladies . I had my little girl 5 months ago through ivf . We have one frozen embryo . I lost little bit weight but still at least 10 kg left to go till my weight before pregnancy. I know it may be bit to early for baby nr 2 but we really thinking of FET soon . I know they always want u to be in right weight because is better chances to be successful but if we pay for that would they say no to us till I loose more kg ?

FET and baby weight...
I think it depends what your bmi is. Most private clinics have limits but they are higher than NHS.
However if you only have one frozen embryo it's worth trying to lose as much weight as you can to improve your chances
Thank u Cyantist . I had C section because she was bridge . I know they usually saying wait till 2 years for your body to recover but I’m 37 so time is not on my side plus I’m worried that they may say wait bit longer because of my C section even if I loose some weight ....😔
I've been told you have to wait a year after c-section in regards to IVF. I had a c-section with my little boy who is nearly 9 months now and enquired when I can go ahead and have a FET. So you don't have too long to wait but enough time to lose the few extra pounds you want to 😊 xx
Remember in terms of age as well, it’s the age you were when you created the embryo rather than the age you are when they put it back which counts for success rates. X
Hi lizzieli I agree with u . I had one ivf before and didn’t work and I didn’t have any to freeze. That was my second cycle and from four eggs when down to two which they put back one and one to freeze. I just hope this FET will work ....but if don’t we will need to think to start from beginning with fresh cycle. That my worry 😔
