I'm 7 weeks pregnant and my hubby bought a new aftershave when we went away a few weeks ago, and I can't stand the smell of. It really makes me feel sick ๐Ÿ˜‚ I feel bad for him as he loves it and won't wear it now ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚ This is normal right? ๐Ÿ™ˆ Its not even a bad smell! I just can't stomach it! Xxx

I have been like that from 5 weeks. Perfume, aftershave, bins, tab smoke, alcohol, toast! And the list goes on. I'm sure it will pass when the nausea subsides. At least i hope so. I'm 9+3 and still vomiting 1-3 times per day with nausea which has eased slightly from 24 hours per day. Sounds like your hubby is understanding too :) xx

I'm exactly the same with smells, some make me heave. I'm not actually often physically sick but feel nauseous a lot and smells really get to me. All normal although your husband may never wear that aftershave again ๐Ÿ˜‚ xx

Haha I do feel bad for him! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I can't even wear perfume anymore! So weird! I have only been sick once so far so hoping I'm gonna get away with it! (Fingers crossed!) Xxx

Me to, I use to love wearing perfume but now spraying it is just to much it's the heightened sense of smell. I'm the same just feel nauseous and heave all the time but I'm glad as it gives me a little re assurance. Some women don't get any sickness at all xx

It's completely normal. Your poor hubby that's one of my first symptoms even before bfp normal nice smells make me gip and dirty smells are so much v worse. Our sense of smells gets hightened in pregnancy never known why ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜˜

I am also hypersensitive to smells. Been like that from the first trimester where I couldnโ€™t stand the smell of my husband after he came in from commuting. He would have two showers a day bless him. Canโ€™t walk into Wilkinsonโ€™s as the cleaner aisles are at the front and way too overpowering. Anyoneโ€™s excessive lynx effect makes me want to gag and this week hubbys deodorant set me off.

I havenโ€™t worn perfume the whole pregnancy and have to be careful with cleaning products around the home. But for some reason I love the smell of lavender.

Someone gave me the tip of carrying an orange around. If your stuck on the tube and someone stinks start to peel the orange which will over power the smell. Assuming you are ok with oranges!

Haha oh my this is so similar to me! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I can't stand the smell of my hubby when he's come home from his commute and I made him bin his lynx the other day!! ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ Its the least they can do though really eh! Hehe! Ohh the orange is a good idea I think I'll try that! Even my washing powder is making me feel sick atm! Crazy xx

Me too! My mum has been staying and she always uses comfort and itโ€™s been completely overwhelming me. Iโ€™ve started using 2/3 the recommended soap powder and topping the rest up with soda crystals so it stays bearable. A lot cheaper too.
