I hope you are all well and taking good care of yourselves.
So i failed my 1st funded round of IVF and unfortunately had no eggs to freeze for another try I am 37 with unexplained fertility. My partner has really good swimmers and there seems to be nothing wrong with me,although i did only produce 8 eggs and only 2 made it to transfer day and weren't that great, at a 4 cell and 6 cell. So naturally i was devastated when it didnt work.
I now start my fresh cycle in January and after a couple months of binging, going out getting drunk, wallowing in pity i feel i'm ready to get my body back into healthy mode.
I've been taking pregnacare and will continue with those, i've also been taking COq10, Vitamin D and i have ordered some royal jelly and maca for extra boost.
I was wondering if there was anything else that might help me in the meantime as ive still got a couple months, we will keep trying naturally till we start. I'm not going to lie, i'm scared it won't work and it will be £5k down the drain.
Has anyone over the age of 38 got any success stories they can share with me to bring some positivity, also is there anything you took that you think helped with getting you pregnant?
Baby dust to you all xx

I got pregnant on my second go, at 37. Meanwhile 38 and 25 weeks pregnant! Did they mention what stimulation they'll give you next? I went from long to short protocol, Gonal F to Menopur and double trigger and had more eggs, higher quality eggs and, apart from being preggers with the only blastocyst transferred, have another 7 super quality frozen. First cycle I had nothing to transfer nor freeze... so second cycles can be massively different! Good luck!
No they haven’t told me what protocol get but last time I had the long protocol with suprecur for about a 7 days followed by menupor for about 5 days day and night for both, this time round I have asked for the endo scratch and embryo glue.
They have asked me to do a AMH blood test in January then depending on that they will tell me what protocol to go on. I really hope it works as 5 grand is a lot of money and can’t afford for it not to work! Thank you , you have given me hope x
Nothing different between first and second cycle. I took folic acid and vitamin D and generally ate healthy, no alcohol whilst stimming. Didn't have any special procedures like glue or scratch
