Hi, I went to my GP who referred me to a Gynae dr, who then put me on the waiting list for it. Overall it took about 5 months to get the test done. Some private clinics offer the procedure but it can cost around £600 xx

Hi sherl08. Can't advertise clinics/centres on here, but I'm sure your GP will be able to tell you who to approach. Good luck! Diane

Hi sherl08. If you have an ongoing fertility problem, and you have been trying for a while to get pregnant, then ask your GP to refer you to a specialist for investigations. However, he/she may do some hormone blood tests first. Good luck and I hope you can get sorted out. Diane

My story is long. I have been to see my gp and was refered to a specialist who after 1yr checked my tubes and said they are blocked. I was refered to ivf straight away. I developed pains n other complications before i even started thinking about ivf and took another 1yr to have a laporascopy which was done last month and the dr says that my tubes arw normal and not blocked. I do not knw who to believe at this point. Am soo bitter and confused. Thats why am looking to repeat the test maybe privately and know where i stand.

Hi Sherl08. Oh dear, so confusing for you. I think you need to ask for a copy of the report and findings of your recent laparoscopy, so you can see for yourself what has been seen. Hopefully it is good news, and maybe move on to IVF?? I do have a list of questions I could send you in confidence if you want, so you can look through before you go back to see them. Too long to add here, but if you email me at support@fertilitynetworkuk.org I will send them. Diane

Thanks Diana. I have the laparoscopy report with me. And the result for when they said my tubes are blocked. I will email you. Thanks once again
