I'm shaking as I type this. About to embark on IVF no 4 second harvest so been waiting patiently for my period to arrive. It's three days late and I am booked in for an endo scratch this time so I needed to let clinic know exact dates. Decided to take a test just to be on the safe side. I actually nearly fell off the toilet seat when "pregnant" flashed up at me!! At 36 years of age I have never conceived naturally plus only have one (now wonderful ) tube. I'm in total shock! Cannot believe it!!!
I'm just trying to process this whole situation. I'm going to call my clinic tomorrow. I'm so aware I have such a long way to go but cannot believe we managed all on our own to get this far!
I'm just panicking now I should be taking progesterone or something!!
Any advice ladies!!
An emotional wreck,
Emma xxx

Omg there is not enough likes in the world for this!! That's amazing news you did make me laugh at nearly falling off the toilet lol. Dreams do happen, massive congratulations to you both xxxx
Thanks so much Emma Jane , I haven't even told my husband yet as he still at work! I really hope this one hangs on... This process is just nuts but omg today I'm enjoying this very moment , every little bit... Sending you love whichever stage you at xxxx
Woooooo hooooooo I love hearing news like this...natural pregnancy even after ivf...this is the best news ever..thinks in this mad fertility world work in mysterious ways...never give up hope..hugs xxx
Thanks so much vic, can you even believe it? It's such a rollercoaster , hoping this our time!! Just sucking in this feeling as long as I can. Can't help thinking omg that way was way more fun to get a positive than all the needles and drugs and General crazyness that goes with IVF malarkey xxxxx
I had similar thing - 4 failed transfers (3cycles) and then fell pregnant naturally. Now 28 weeks pregnant! I had so many drugs last cycle as had high killer cells, so was on steroids and blood thinners alongside progesterone for that. My consultant did offer me steroid treatment for this shock natural conception, but I felt as there was no strong evidence, I've chosen to go with my body alone. No progesterone, no drugs. See what your clinic says but I feel glad I trusted my body, and unless any of your tests show there are any problems with your own hormone levels, there is no reason to think everything shouldn't work perfectly. Huge congrats xxx
Just brilliant!!!!!!! I think I may be slightly hormonal during down reg as I felt myself about to start crying when I read your post!! Enjoy this moment, especially telling your husband! Xx
Oh thank you so much Lou! Down reg drugs are a killer , sitting here thinking of a million locations I should plant the test for him to find... Better clean the wee off it I guess!! Best of luck with your cycle X
Amazing amazing news - what a surprise! I wasn't advised to take any progesterone - but they will do a blood test and advise you. Good luck with it all!
Thanks Robbie03, I did the whole "so did a test to check" and he didn't even look up until I handed it to him . He was like, Emma that says "pregnant" he went a shade of pale. He was in pure shock. He delighted for us but like me just that bit anxious we ll loose it again. But same time we ever so proud of ourselves to get this far on our own! X
Great!! It's amazing - basque in this lovely feeling before your worries! Enjoy this amazing news, and be proud you both did it! Take it really easy! Xx
Omg, my heart rate literally just doubled reading this, soooo over the moon for you and your thoroughly deserves blessing! Massive congrats and wishes for your every success! Xxx
Huge contragtulations to you! Amazing news!! I doubt you will need progesterone as with it being a natural pregnancy your body will already be producing it naturally! xx
OMG this is amazing!! I would call your clinic asap and see if progesterone will help as I was on 3 pessaries a day after ivf and now 16 weeks pregnant. Congratulations!!!xxx
