Hi

Thank you
It's bmi below 30 in Scotland to have nhs funding. We had to pay private due to hubby having had a vasectomy. On the leaflets we go it said to have a bmi under 30 for NHS funding. If private it's 35 I think. Xx
Yes it's 30 for NHS and 35 for private. Clinics abroad don't have as strict limits as here
The thing to bare in mind with bmi is that it's there to try and reduce risk and increase your chances. If you become pregnant from Ivf (or natural) a lower bmi is still important as it does have a part to play in your pregnancy like increased risk of gestational diabetes, blood pressure issues, future diabetes of the child or them being born big/ still born etc. If you are spending all that money you want and deserve the best chance. Good luck x
Hi Tranters. I agree with "Mrsjj", private health may allow a slight rise, but it will be taken into consideration. Lots of procedures etc to go through, and perhaps even general anaethetics if having a laparoscopy etc. Therefore it is less risky to yourself and easier for the specialists, and hopefully you will get pregnant, and you don't want to risk complications. Hope all goes well for you. Diane
Hi
I have gone private and my clinic insisted on BMI under 35.
