So I have been to the clinic today for first down reg scan following two weeks of buserelin. They scanned me and then had to scan me again to double check things as they found a cyst on right ovary. They were unable to get a doctor to review the scan whilst I was there as there were none available. Therefore nurse has just rung me now saying that I cannot progress onto the stims injections as the dr has not reviewed the scan and will not be able to till tomorrow properly.
I asked whether it was a cyst or something more serious... she said she didn't know as it was irregular but the radiographer that scanned me thought it was a collapsed cyst. I asked how this is going to impact on my treatment and she said she didn't know and that I would have to wait until tomorrow for the dr to look at the results that I may need a blood test for hormones and another down reg scan. For now I have to continue on the buserelin.
I have no idea what to think or where to go as most of her answers were I don't know or think so. Tonight is going to be a long night.... has anyone else had a similar experience???
She has left me feeling and thinking the worst. 😢😢😢😢
Sorry for the long post

Hiya, I'm not sure about the appearance of my cysts but each time I have down regulated I have had fairly large cysts on my right Ovary, up to 10mm. I was told it wouldn't impact upon my treatment and they always dispersed of their own accord. Kind of rubbish for them not to get back to you with an answer, this is such a waiting game! Xxx
Hi Becky I have a cyst on my right ovary when the doctor did the scan they taken blood from me then when getting the results back it was fine it was just a cyst that was on my ovary not causing any harm. Egg retrieval was ok on my left side over but the right side was harder was the Doctor to get my eggs out due to the cyst but they managed that was last Monday Tuesday I was in pain from egg retrieval has taken me good few days to get over it. Don't worry ur in safe hands chin up ❤️️xx
Hi guys thankyou for replying so quickly it's just so disappointing... as when I started all this back in January I was told that I had a cyst on each ovary which one of which resolved and the other they decided was endometriosis. After multiple scans as it was not resolving or changing. Now this has appeared and as they have said it's irregular and she did not know much on the phone it's made me worry. I had a blood test for anything more serious a couple of months ago, which was negative so surely this is hopefully another set back like that.
Rubbish news and not communicated very well by the clinic xx
