Hey all

Just wondered how effective preseed is? Especially for low sperm count - thanks 😊

I have used preseed many times. It's a sperm friendly lube,it also helps to mimic your cervical mucus in case you don't produce enough and helps sperm to travel easily within a conducive environment. It doesn't improve sperm.

Hey,

I used this after around a year of so of ttc. My partner didn't like it, he found it a bit too lubricated lol. We only used it a few times and then I ended up binning it. As kumkums says, it mimics cervical mucus and creates an environment in which sperm can travel easier. Although, it wouldn't actually improve sperm.

I seen you ask if it's possible to conceive naturally with low sperm count in another post. I wanted to say that my partner has a very low sperm count, it was so low that doctors had actually said icsi wouldn't have even been possible (without sperm retrieval) however, about 5 months later I did fall pregnant naturally although sadly I miscaried at 7 weeks. Just wanted to say that it can happen, it does only take that one sperm!

My partners sperm has improved and the two main things he did was taking wellman conception vitamins and also stopped having so many baths (he used to have them daily and very hot!!) I do believe that some lifestyle changes can definitely improve sperm 🙂

Good luck xxx

My husband has low sperm count and we used preseed for a couple of years without success. We didn't know about his low sperm count then but were just trying everything (ovulation sticks, vitamins for both, preseed etc). I was hoping, having read all the positive testimonials online, it would help. Sadly it didn't make any difference for us. But we are pregnant now after ICSI.

Thank you! And sorry to hear you haven't had the same luck with ICSI. I hope the preseed works for you. Xx
