hi everyone,
I am looking for success stories with moderate adenomyosis. I have been doing on my own research on down regulation protocol but it’s all very confusing. I would be grateful if anyone can share protocols that worked!
Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi. Not much help I’m afraid, but I have seen successes. If you can find a specialist with added interest in the condition, you would be more reassured. Perhaps someone could PM you with a name. All the best. Diane
Hi Diane,
How does someone find a specialist in this condition? I have been looking and there is no one I can find in the uk who specialises in Adenomyosis as a fertility issues?
Hi. I hope some of the other ladies have sent you PMs with suggestions as I am not permitted to name clinics or specia.lists., as it is considered advertising. You could also try emailing the HFEA hfea.gov.uk Diane
Hey I have adenomyosis - I’ve unfortunately had 3 losses so I’m probably not the poster child for success. I am currently pregnant from my 8th transfer and hoping for the best but being realistic. Below is what helped me:
Down regulation - minimum two months
Steroids
Clexane
More frequent estrogen patch changes (once every second day than twice a week)
Injectable progesterone along with pessaries
Probiotics
Magnesium
I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I hope everything goes well time. This is such a tough journey! I sometimes feel like giving up.
Thank you for sharing your protocol.x What steroids have you been given? Were you asked to down regulate? I am thinking of asking for down regulation but my doctor thinks it’s not necessary !
Hey
I always down regulated at the request of our clinic but we moved clinics (and moved to donor eggs as I was 39 and we had male factor so a perfect storm) and they increased the down regulation from 2 weeks to 2 months. I’m on presnisilone 20mg and Clexane 40mg. Not every IvF doc really understands adenomyosis so we researched and found a clinic where the consultant had a research background and really understood adeno.
I know what you mean about giving up - if this pregnancy ends in a loss then we’re going to move on childless not through choice, we can’t keep continuing.
Thank you. Could you pls share the details of the clinic. Can you DM me pls?
Could you please send me the clinic specialist , I’d be very grateful . My daughter has this and had just had a 2 nd failed attempt .
