Could it be true?

Hi guys,

Just wanted your opinion on something. Today I am 9dp5dt and I've caved and done a pregnancy test which has come up as pregnant 1-2 weeks. I've now convinced myself it must still be the hcg trigger in my system. Has anyone any idea if it might actually be a true positive? My official OTD from the hospital isn't til Friday (14dp5dt).

I'm now so scared I've given myself even more false hope. This 2ww is such a mind game!

Good luck to anyone else still waiting

Xx

I'm not sure how long you have to wait for the trigger to disappear but this is the problem with testing early, you never believe the results. Maybe wait a couple of days and do another?

I know I was thinking of retesting this week to check. It has been 15 days since trigger as had it at half past 10 on the Saturday night x

If anything like me (my first ever bfp) you will be testing and retesting and retesting again to get confidence in that bfp. My husband tried to ban me from peeing on sticks. Didn't work :-)

Fingers crossed for you.

Ha i can imagine it is addictive to do! Yeah mine has already told me to stop doing it and wait but 2 weeks is so long. Congrats on your bfp.

Thank you x

My trigger drug packaging said it stays in your system for up to 14 days, that was pregnyl. You could check what your drug says on the leaflet (search for the patient info leaflet online)?

Congratulations. My otd is when I'm 9dp5dt I think some clinics like to add a few days for security. But this looks like a positive! 🎉

I'd take it as a positive. There is a timeline of IVF transfer/implantation on various sites and they say that 9dp5dt is the date that HCG is In your system enough for it to be detected by a test. It is also 14 days post 'ovulation' which is the day your period would normally be due. I tested that day and got a positive. So congratulations!!!

I had a 5dt and my clinic said that test day is day 10pt, and i tested on day 9 as i wanted my husband to be at home when i test, so yes it is a positive. Congratulations xx
