Just done my first stims injection, the build up was worse than actually doing it. It was just a bit stingy. Iced my belly right up until I put the needle in and my DH is moaning saying that's not ok as I'll be too cold and it won't work properly. Anyone know if this is true or not? Ready to slap him in a minute 😂! Xx

Hi. I used ice on the area every time to numb it. And I responded fine to the meds..... so try not to worry xxxxx

Well done on your first one, think it gets easier when that ones out the way. Mine are kept in the fridge anyway so I don't think the cold would make much difference x

Well done on your first injection! The first was is the worse bit you will be surprised at how quickly it will become part of your routine! I used an ice pack on my belly before injections and it worked for me! Also gave myself a small piece of dark chocolate after the injection for a treat! Good luck! X

I don't know about an ice cube but I always use an antiseptic wipe on the area first which always feels quite cold. I'm sure it won't make any difference. I always breath in then breath out when my boyfriend injects - a bit like yoga breathing, I think it helps. Good luck xxx
