Starting Injections Tomorrow

I’ve got to continue with nasals and start injections tomorrow. I am very very nervous. I feel so tired today I’m so glad I haven’t had to go back to work as it’s half term. I just wanted to cuddle up in my pjs and sleep but I’ve come out for the day with my lovely Nan, who is the only one who seems to just accept my feelings as they come.

Don't be nervous! All will be fine! you start feeling so much better when you start stimming so thats a positive and this is finally happening so thats another positive!

Not sure what drugs you are on but I find the mixing drugs (not everyone has to do it) harder than the injection itself. You will be fine!

I started my stims yesterday for round 4 so we are almost aligned. Good luck! x

The down regulation drugs do make you super tired but I found once I started the injections then I started to feel a bit better. Dont be nervous about the injections, just take your time....you get used to it very quickly! Best of luck and have a lovely day with your Nan.xx

I started my stims on Saturday and they have definitely made me feel better. Friday afternoon all I literally did was curl up into a ball in a daze, I was so tired. So I know exactly how you are feeling and Im sure you will see a difference.

As Daisy1245 says, the process of mixing the drugs (if you have to do that) is so much more daunting than the actual injection itself. Somebody said to me to treat yourself with a chocolate after the injection - which I have been doing and it really did make me feel better! Maybe Mary Poppins was on to something with her "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down".

Good luck with it! x

Hope you've had a lovely day out with Nan. Just remember the injections are actually nowhere near as bad as the thought of the injections! Oh, and I would ice first. It probably helps from a physical point-of-view, but it helps me more from a psychological point-of-view! Best wishes. x

Hi and I agree with what everyone has written on your post ☺️ I had never given myself an injection in my life until I started IVF medication last October. The injections aren’t as bad as you think. I ended up taking one of a morning and one of a night each day for 15 days and to me it was psychological. You do get use to them really quickly and you will become a pro. Making the injection up at first is daunting but after the first 2 or 3 times you should be confident then ☺️ I did my own injections but some people prefer their partners to inject them. Good luck and you will be great ❤️ x x x
