I had egg collection yesterday at 9:30 and everything went well. 13 eggs yay!
But last night at 1:00 I woke up to intense cramping. It did begin to ease after 10 mins or so (didn't really time) so went back to sleep. But at 4:30 in the morning I had the most intense cramping with sweats and sickness feeling. It did stop again after 10 mins or so. I took paracetamol and drank lots of water. I feel ok now at 8:00 but feel worried it'll happen again.
I don't think its OHSS as it was short lived even though it was intense!
Not sure if it's the prontogest injections as I had my first one after egg collection.
Well I'm going to continue with plenty of water today and hopefully the cramping has ended!
Anyone else experienced this straight after egg collection?

No. But it does seem suspicious.. maybe they were just a bit rough with all the tugging and pulling.. The feeling sick is a bit of a worry but you sound like you're on the ball and know what to look out for. Yes keep drinking water and taking paracetamol every 4 hours, a hot water bottle is fine until transfer. Take it easy. If you feel bad again or have any concerns you really should contact your clinic or GP xx
Hi C_L_A_I_R_E. Seems like your ovaries may still be a bit active. You're doing the right thing with the paracetamol and water. No anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Hope all soon settles down, but if it worsens, then off to the Doc. Good luck! Diane
Thank you Diane. Feeling better so hopefully on the mend now 😊
I felt like this for nearly two weeks with really bad indigestion. It has eased off now. I couldnt even bear to be in a car. I think they had problems at egg collection and it took awhile to settle down. I rested and drank alot of water. Hope you feel better soon.
