Went in for my scan on Friday to check if the follicles had responded to the injections. We reckon, should have asked to confirm but never thought at the time, we have around 6-7 between 10-18mm. So that's my injections and nasal spray all finished. Took my HCG booster last night and got my egg collection tomorrow.
Bit nervous for the egg collection as so many different stories. I am so tired the last two weeks though so hoping I will just sleep through it.

Hi, I haven't been reading messages for a little while but your message struck me this morning. I wish you and partner all the very best for your treatment. IVF/icsi seems a strange leap into unknown territory and I found it gathered momentum very quickly after getting the go ahead from hospital. We tried to be as positive as possible taking one step at a time and surprised ourselves that the process brought us even closer together.
My egg collection turned out to be absolutely fine - least pain I've ever felt after medical/surgery- and I was nervous about pain etc as my previous HSG and lap did hurt. You'll be fine.

Yeah the process does get faster as soon as you hit the top of the waiting list. It's good though as you wait so long to get there. Just so much to take in and explain to people such as the parents and siblings etc. 💞
Hidden good luck with your EC. We got the go ahead today for our ec as well but I'm bit worried as we been told we have 24 follicles between 10-20mm and I could be at risk of OHSS now xx I'm sure it will all be ok. I was worried too after reading the different stories but hopefully sedation is good to both of us xx
Oh that's great you got the go ahead. I don't know too much about OHSS. I have low AMH so I'm the opposite end of the scale and was worried they wouldn't develop.
When is yours booked for?

Hidden booked in for Wed morning so do our hcg jab tonight x be nice to not have to do any jabs tomo lol they have said we may not be able to do transfer this time as I also now have fluid in my womb that may be blood but all will be revealed I guess after Wednesday xx

Back from the egg collection and it was absolutely fine. I think I fell asleep within seconds of starting the sedation and woke up in the recovery room about 45 mins later. Don't remember anything. Not sure how long I'd been lying there as they said normally takes 15-20 mins. I have absolutely no pain at the moment and feel fine.

I have been feeling so sick today and ended up projectile vomiting in hubby's car 🤒
The only thing I can think is it was the maturation injection been OK with everything else
P.s how many eggs did you have collected xx hope your having a good rest now and feeling better soon xx
Oh that's a shame about the sickness. Hope you are feeling better now. There is so many drugs going into your body it's bound to have an effect. Mine have been headache, overheating and A LOT of forgetfulness.
Oh yeah we got 6 so can't wait to hear tomorrow the outcome.

Ec done just waiting to go he. Only down side is now they said hubby sperm count is little lower than expected so he got to do second sample. When the clinic tested it was all OK so don't understand but fingers crossed it's all OK xxx
That's great it's all done. My hubby has low count and mortality. He has had to do so many samples, all of which were different amounts but still low. That together with my low AMH we never had a lot of follicles but we found out today we had all our 6 eggs fertilised. Fingers crossed they all grow nicely over the next few days.
So it only really takes one swimmer per egg mind and when they say low it's still in the millions.
Just need to find the positive in every negative. That's helped me get through this whole process. Good luck with your fertilisation. 💞

I had my egg collection a week ago and the transfer in Friday there.
Egg collection was fine,I was fully asleep for it and just a little tender afterwards....went back to work the next day.
Nothing to be worried about....x
That sounds great to me. If I can sleep through it that would be ideal. I took the following day off to. Just because I have lots of holidays left and thought it would be good to be in the house when they call us to let us know what we have got. Fingers crossed.

EC was much easier than I expected. I had general anaesthetic so felt nothing. Just be aware that afterwards you'll probably feel bloated for several days as your ovaries have been fuller than normal and all the poking about. It's ok to take paracetamol if you need to.
