I am about to start my injections (buserelin) down regulation injections on Sunday... I was just wondering has anyone noted any side effects?
Also I have endometriosis on one of my ovaries and I was just wondering whether the ivf injections they had, made the pain worse or better?? As I have heard it can do both.

Hey, this cycle I really struggled with the tiredness whilst down regging along with hot sweats and headaches, oh and the odd mood swing 🙄 lol although some ladies don't get any side affects, wishing you lots of luck for Sunday x
Hi, I suffered badly with headaches on my first cycle and the odd mood swing mainly at work 🙈. I found Indian head massages helped a lot. Just about to start 2nd cycle and am pre booked in for one every week.

Down regulation (I used syneral) was the only time I have been endo pain free for 20 years. It was heaven. Yes I had slightly achy bones (my arms and hands) and some headaches, but it was heaven compared to the endo pain.
The stimm drugs then triggered the pain and I admit the pregnancy was painful (lots of adhesion stretching) but not every one with endo have adhesions - so you may be okay on that front.

I down regged on my second cycle (first fet) with Buserelin. I suffered with extremely bad headaches. They were debilitating. I hope you forego that side effect but if you do find yourself struggling drink lots of water, take paracetamol or even CoCodamol and try heat or cold on your head (hot or cold flannels). I actually ended up using a hot water bottle precariously balanced on my head but it helped! Good luck xx

Hi everyone I am wide awake on day 3 of injecting buserelin... my stomach is very bloated and feeling uncomfortable... is this normal? No pain just feel very bloated. Xx
Hi everyone I posted on another thread but no one has replied... so trying on here. I started my injections buserelin a week ago- due my period yesterday. But my stomach is swollen and got sharp pains and a general ache. I usually have painful periods, but not as much as this. No sign of the period yet!
Anyone else had similar side effects? X

Yes, I was the same. My period landed up a couple of days later than I expected both times of doing the buserelin injections....it sounds like its not far away!xx

I too have endo. I didn't inject but when down regging I had lots of period/ ovulation symptoms. They all eased but when I finally came on it brought a terrible endo attack that lasted days, that also triggered my ibs so it was a pretty horrid week. Not had pain like it since before my lap!
Back to normal now and on merional injections which don't seem to be causing any side effects. Good luck with your journey xx
