Hi there,

My husband and I are just about to start treatment. We are both fine. All tests found was nothing but still not working. Would you recommend iui first? Anyone had this?

I had stimulated IUI in July as I wanted to try it before IVF. And incredibly it worked. I'm 6 weeks pregnant! Happy to give more info/details if you'd like. My consultant told me it was a 15% chance for us to work, but it did...xxx

We were unexplained infertility for 2 years then the GP had mis read a result on my husbands sperm test which was possibly contributing. We were referred on NHS for IVF and tried IUI privately while we waited. Some counties offer IUI on NHS, ours doesn't. Stimulated IUI is a better success rate than natural from what I read. On day 1 of cycle I had a scan, had injections from day 5 and scans and bloods nearly every day. Then a trigger injection day 10 and IUI day 11. This is quite early in cycle but my cycles are on the shorter side. Waited 16 days and then could test to see if worked! Xx

Hi, our consultant told us that if I was younger that she would have recommended iui then ivf, but because of my age (I'm 37) she suggested we go straight to ivf. She still gave us the choice though. If I had have been early 30's I probably would have done both, as we would have had 3 free iui on NHS xx

I'm early 30s but in my region we only get one shot on the NHS and not sure we can afford to go private so not really sure what to do! Probably will go with iui. Xx

Hi Stephiex , Just consult with gynecologist see what she said and than take any step. Well ivf and iui both have very good results . so its totally depend on your medical condition .

All the best!!!!
