When did you test?

Im half way through 2ww been pretty occupied. Interested in knowing did any of you cave in and test early? Think i will stick to the dates ive been given. I would find it harder being given false hope with an inaccurate reading.

I've never tested early on any of my 3 cycles, I think it can give either give to much false hope or disappointment depending on which way the test goes. I know it's hard but try and hang on in there x

I've really wanted to but I haven't yet, my OTD Is tomorrow but I'm sure it's negative due to really bad period pains today. I'm glad I've only got the clinics one here otherwise I prob would of lol

My first cycle had period few days before test day,

I was so desperate not to have a false result, I held off until OTD - that motivation was enough! Although it's sooooo hard! Distract yourself as much as possible! Good luck xx

Im a serial tester! I test really early as i feel i need to know whats going on. first IVF go I detected a chemical which I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't have tested early. (gave me hope that it did sort of start to work!)

its a personal choice. My clinic want a blood test to confirm pregnancy and I feel I need to know before I go for that to mentally prepare myself. x

I really wanted to teas early but being taught with my previous experience I preferred not to did it. I was trying so long I do understand you. Sometimes it is too hard to wait this 14 days. It's a roller coaster for sure and you can't sit at one place. I remember my 2ww it was the worse time in my life. I couldn't focus on other thing and was thinking only about my bloods. I was mad at my husband, I was nervous and it could cause a big problem to my baby.

My advice is to wait a bit longer just in case not to be offended with the result. Sometimes digital can't show the whole picture. And TRY TO RELAX AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, do things that you like.

I tested early just for a bit of "fun" and to kill some of the waiting time....something to do and it filled a few mins of my time.

I tested early after my first treatment and made myself so upset that I vowed not to test early again. I waited until OTD last time (negative - booooo) and was glad I did. Even though it was negative I remained hopeful and positive until I tested which was better for my mental health! I'm in my 2ww from today and won't test early again. Good luck to you. I've had three tww's and held out until otd all three times, this last time was the hardest! It's down to personal choice but I didn't want to risk the potential of being crushed by an early false negative. There's a good reason why they give us an otd... Whatever you decide, good luck xx

I'm currently on day 3 of my 2WW and have been off work since EC feeling pretty rough so hoping will be a welcome distraction! I'm actually away overnight with work on our OTD so will have to wait until I get home the following day (if I can hold out that long!)
